The famous Samsung Ice Maker conundrum.

Mine keeps chirping at me, so I'm sure its the ice maker

Anyone recommend an Appliance repair guy? Refer's only 10 years old, looks new, REALLY don't want to drop another $2K on a new one.

Best Buy might point you in the right direction.

Are you sure one of the doors isn't open just a little bit causing the alarm to chirp ?.
If the door is closed, try pushing in to see if this stops the alarm. If it does, you may need to clean or replace the gasket because it is not registering the door as fully sealed.
The second problem that can cause this alarm is a high temperature inside the refrigerator.
This means that the temperature is at a range that is not safe for food. You can try setting the temperature lower, but this can be an indicator of a problem. The thermometer could be malfunctioning, or worse, the cooling system in your appliance. Unlike a door ajar alarm, this one can be more difficult to fix on your own if turning down the temperature doesn’t work. It requires substantial disassembly of your refrigerator and Samsung appliances can be particularly problematic about that.
If neither of those then you might try is unplug your refrigerator for a few minutes. This will perform a reset on your refrigerator and hopefully put an end to the beeping.

What's wrong with you? If it was a rifle you'd give it away and buy a new one.

My icemaker on a Samsung plugs and ices up when we use crushed ice.
Stays clear if we use cubed only.

We use cubed and it plugs up but it seems Samsung knows all about their icemaker problems and still won't do a recall.

Samsung refrigerators suck.

Yep! I'll never buy another Samsung appliance. Took them 3 months to replace my dryer and it was under warranty, they didn't have a service rep to even come look at it. My nephews refrigerator went out in less than a year and he went through the same thing. When my washer started having a problem I gave them away both away and bought Frigidaire.

same here. had w/d new from samsung with there install. they left a wire loose on the dryer, it touched the cabinet and burnt the electronics out of it. lucky it didnt kill the wife. took 3 months to get replacment dryer. mean time the washer took a dump. after about 2 weeks of waiting on part they finally after daily bitching on my part brought a new machine. since then the washer has crapped out. now the samsung icemaker is not working in the fridge part of the refrigerator. i aint callin the man. im calling the scrap man and gonna get a different brand

No help. I bought a Samsung French door model in 2015 that ended up in a class action suit....turned in to a $3k garage fridge without an ice maker...that looks like it has an ice maker. The Samsung fridges suck. So does their service.

I bought and paid for one of their over the counter microwaves. The store removed it at their own cost and put in a GE.

I replaced the ice maker in mine. YouTube is your friend. Isn’t that hard

Truth!

Samsung’s are dam good at looking awesome to get the sale. All them fancy lights and gizmos sell for them. Sort of like a big huge screen on your truck dash and the rest of the interior is carp.

Truth be told, all “lower than commercial” appliances nowadays really do suck. Even some commercial level ones can too. So many interchangeable parts or parts made by other companies.

And Buzz, I’ll say send me the model/serial and symptoms.

Our Samsung has a broken Ice maker too. Went fast, like 2 years in. Other than that it's been ok. Lack of ice due to my unwillingness to buy a new fridge is one of the many crosses my wife is forced to bear. Happy wife, happy life or something like that. Honestly she doesn't want to spend the money any more than I do, but that doesn't mean I get a break.

Why can’t you just fix the ice maker?

You can buy the whole ice maker for under $200, just a few screws to replace it.

replace my upper ice maker still no ice measured temp in ice maker compartment, its not getting cold enough to make ice. supposed to be a little fan in the bottom freezer that blows air up to top ice maker. do i keep going down this rabbit hole or cut bait and buy new? went down the hole on a kenmore several years ago and lost on that frustrating project.
