Looks like CZ (Colt) is going to re-release another snake gun.

Serious question.

How does this stack up against a Ruger Blackhawk?

The Ruger seems to be the .44 Mag all others are measured against.

Unless I am misinformed...

Probably more Redhawk than Blackhawk. Ruger make excellent larger revolvers. Reminds me that I need to shoot my Blackhawk 45 LC/45ACP convertible.

I saw a Trooper for $850.00 and walked away, it was gone the next day. Wound up with an A Uberti and was very pleased. I already have a Redhawk I gave $700.00 6 or 7 years ago. Same shop had an A Uberti in 45 Colt, the Devil Anse version, it has a new home

The Rugers redhawk, super redhawk, blackhawks are all strong pistols and will take a steady diet of full house plus p and as much as I hate to say it ignorantly loaded ammo all being way above sammi spec..

A smith, or a colt will not take the abuse that a Ruger will.

Disclaimer, I stay in the lines when it comes to loading, however I know of people who do not.

That's what I thought.

So the high price of the Colt is just for the name.

Most likely, and name alone will increase value.

Unless they got better Ruger cylinders have or can have a lot of variation. And forcing cone issues affecting accuracy.

This is true, never said the ruger was more accurate just that it would take more abuse emphasis on abuse..
a colt or even better a smith will drive tacks compared to a ruger.

I have a few rugers and if you hand load and will size hard cast for the cylinder measurements they are nail drivers, but it’s an extra step.

If a smith will shoot say 2-2.5” at 25 expect 3-4” at 25 with the ruger realistically unless you win the lottery and get a good one.

Again everyone I don have a beef with ruger I own several and love them dearly but they are workhorses and are what they are.
