For a long time now, we've bought Owen's Hot or Regular most of the time. Had some this morning - delicious.

HEB makes a good one. So does JC Potter.
Years ago, we bought Carl's Tasty Sausage - out of Whitewright.
Jimmy Dean is good but it burns easily. Maybe it has more sugar in it.

What do you like?

I like to make pan sausage from the AC Leggs seasoning packs, they make 25lbs at a time. With the meat all trimmed up and still frozen a bit, grinded, seasoned, grinded again, weighed, vacuum packed, into the freezer and all cleaned up in 2 hours.

I did this alone as my wife was inside allegedly cleaning.

I came up with my own blend. I add maple flavored bacon to venison with the traditional breakfast sausage seasoning,

Jimmy Dean sausage/bacon crumbles for me. Breakfast taco every morning. Occasionally add it. To my meatloaf.

Used to make our own, but now we rarely have sausage on the plate.

The processor we use makes the best spicy breakfast sausage from the smaller pigs we take him. 100 pounds or less we get sausage and pork chops. Better than any from the store. up

I like my own the best, better than any store bought. I also use AC Legg’s seasoning and add extra to it. Getting ready to make another batch, actually.

As far as store bought, I like the Whataburger sausage the best.

This is what I do but with breakfast sausage seasoning from the Sausage Maker. We made 25 lbs in February along with 75 lbs of link. Buddy bought a big Cabelas grinder and wanted to try it out. [Linked Image]
