Based on this thread and talking to a few other people that own APR Rifles, I visited the shop day before yesterday and ordered a Ranger rifle in .308.
I walked in to the very nice showroom, talked to a fellow named Hunter at the counter, and said I would like to order a rifle. He talked me through the build, if I was not sure about something he would show me an example of a stock color or stock style, barrel fluting, duracoat/cerakote colors, triggers, the whole 9 yards. A fun experience.
I can't wait to pick it up and take it to the range.

How can someone be this upset over a phone call? There must be something else going on his life to be upset about because getting butt hurt over a return phone call is kind of childish.
I have never dealt with Alamo Precision. But when I see the owner come here to post and to apologize, as far as I’m concerned, I wouldn’t hesitate doing business with them.
I agree. I m not in to custom rifles myself but when the owner comes on here and apologizes that shows that he is a decent human being and a stand up guy.

I have known Robert for years and was on a hunting lease with him. I found him to be an honest, sincere man. As stated above, he issued a public apology and I have no doubt the OP will very well taken care of if he gives Robert a chance. Any business can have one service/customer snafu and how they handle it is the measure of the business.
