An almost perfect example of how EOE and labor unions work...

I gave up on them. Sometimes they are pennies cheaper, sometimes they are half the price of UPS. I pay UPS.

Last week Midway gave me an estimated arrival date of 10 days later. That is until I selected UPS. Package arrived two days later.

And my local carrier sometimes just doesn't feel like driving the extra one mile to my driveway. So mail doesn't come every day.

They've sucked for a very long time.

It's the US gubmint. Don't have such high expectations.

Having said that several years ago Mrs RayBob shipped a package to her mom in Canada that went through a distribution center in Chicago. It was scanned every day there for 31 consecutive days without a change. finally shipped out and got to her mother in Eastern Canada 6 days later. We usually figure about 10-20 days on transit time but it is usually Canadian Post that's so slow.

The Swiss post must be right there with them. I've got a knife on the way from Switzerland that was in Zurich 20 days ago and hasn't been updated since.

My worst dealing with USPS was last week when another knife I bought finally showed up after being "in transit, running late" for a week.

There is a new USPS distribution center in Irving, Esters and 183 area. Not sure if Coppell is still open. Coppell can be a black hole.

On a regular basis I get shipments by DHL from Virginia. Every time the shipment sits in different distribution centers for a couple a days before it moves to the next stop. 10 days to 2 weeks is thel time it takes to get here.

I like it when the check is in the mail and it is just fine when my bills come in late. Gives me a little float there.

Yeah, Coppell is still at it. Had a tool that I really need arrive at Coppell last week. 6 miles from my house. They sent it to McKinney where it still sits. McKinney PO won't answer the phone so I can just go pick it up. They'll send it back to the shipper and maybe I'll get it in a couple of weeks. Happens just about every time a package goes through Coppell

Memphis was shut down for a bit. That storm did a number to them.

I had a check mailed to me from Houston on the 19th of Feb. and it is still lost. This happens on a regular basis with USPS.
