Try Optima Lake if you go Oklahoma. You'll be the only people on it.

You guys ever try Lake Livingston? Its been on my radar. Looks like a nice lake with good numbers based on tpwd.

The fish were there, but very spooky and you had to put it on top of them to get any sort of bite. We fished cleaner water, bit it was cooler. No fish there. Just go fish, you might be surprised how shallow they are. I got out and tried a spot today on a DFW Lake for just a few minutes to see if they moved up yet and was not disappointed, fish already in 1-2 feet of water, males and females too, it has already started.

Crappie spawn won't start till water temps are 60 degrees or higher.
