I learned about this card a few years back but the recent price increase of it led me to dig it out again. To most people this looks like your run of the mill junk era over produced common Mark Jackson card that might fetch $.02-$.03 if you are lucky. But this card has a horrible story that can be found in the background. I circled two guys sitting courtside in the back ground. Those two guys are none other than the Menendez brothers. For those that dont know the story of them they killed both of their parents and went on a spending spree with their parents money. One of the things they bought were courtside seats to this basketball game in the time between the murders and the time of their arrest. Bet the camera man had no idea his innocent photograph of a basketball player would generate so much interest in the card collecting world 30 years later because of what he caught in the background.

I loved playing basketball when I was a kid. I couldn't jump and was never any good on the inside, but for some reason I could hit 3 pointers and half court shots consistlantly.

I got beat up by Beaners in Beeville because we kicked their azz in basketball.
