Had a very educational trip to the Korean grocery store in Carrollton today. We went there because we heard they had a killer French bakery (which they do), and an amazing produce section that rivals a farmers market (it does). Also found out several other things.. Wild caught monkfish is preferable over farm raised(?) They take corn dogs places they shouldn’t go. I guess I shouldn’t be throwing my carp on the bank when I bow fish? I should learn to cook up my short ribs rather than give them away. (Check out the price per lb) They’ve got some brilliant marketing people.

A recipe for Korean bacon. None of that curing stuff, just season and cook on a hibachi style grill. Start with this, and add and subtract to taste. https://barbecuebible.com/2018/03/23/korean-pork-belly/

I saw a lot of those fish cake type meals in Singapore, tried it once. Nasty.
Do love Korean food though.

I guess I shouldn’t be throwing my carp on the bank when I bow fish? Many moons ago my older brother Chris and one of his buddies were fishing for Bass or Crappie off the bank of Mountain Creek lake in Oak Cliff. He caught a big a Carp and was showing it off, he was about to throw it back in the water when an older Black man yelled at him to wait, don't throw it back in. Chris responds saying its just a nasty old Carp and the man says " That's a Bugle Mouth Bass and he wants it

Korean meat marinades are some of the best. Outdoor Boys had a Korean iced tea recipe I can't wait to try.
coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.

The mullet in Florida are a different type from those in Texas. The mullet I've seen while fishing in Florida were the same Striped Mullet that we have here. It was explained to me that because of the water clarity and different habitat/food sources in Florida, that they are less oily making them better table fare. I'm still saving mullet for apocalypse food, though...
