Bighorns are awesome. Still regret passing up on one when a stocking dealer came to a local gun show several years back. Super nice rifles. Their weight helps with the recoil I'm betting.
Used to be a gun store that kept some in stock in Oklahoma.

I never even thought about this. I just like them. If I’m hunting less than 100 yards I’m using a lever.


Likewise, but with Leverevolution ammo, I have dropped pigs at nearly 250 yards with my 30-30. I also feel like I can get a quicker follow up shot vs. bolt gun.

I still kick myself for not buying a model 94 back in the sixties when I had a chance at a brand new pre 64.
I finally bought one new in the early eighties and it's not going anywhere!

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.
