My students have only won 7 national championships in various shooting disciplines. But my view of shooting competitions is higher goal is to be prepared for the use of firearms for self-defense and/or defense of our country. Every shooter starts somewhere in competition. And even those who may never win much in a given discipline greatly improve their skills with the firearms they use. It has taken some time, but the lady in the video shoots times in the C range in steel challenge. But she's a High Master in NRA High Power rifle, and is a two-time national champion in NRA rifle disciplines.

5 rounds of ammo, $4,000,000 Most of the shooters I work with are well stocked up and have plenty of ammo for at least this year's shooting season. In shooting, you beat everyone who runs out of ammo before you do. Failing to plan is planning to fail. (And a holster is not required for rimfire pistol in SCSA.)

That gal could probably kick the crap out of everybody on this board in rifle shooting. They'd think they could beat her and grab their sandbags and bipods and you have to be like "not quite so fast" LOL. Good for her learning another discipline and not just being a keyboard grand master👍🏻
