Shot this little pig today. He weighed 98 pounds, so not huge. Shot him at 73 yards, used my 40 s&w full power loads. Hard to find much to complain about

That’s a great shot with a pistol

I couldn't hit the side of a barn at 73 yards with a pistol! I'm really impressed. Now, at 15-20 yards I can put some rounds on 'em, but not at that range. You're a real pistolero! Congratulations!!

One. If i wouldn't have hit him the first time I wouldn't have gotten a chance for a second. I am not saying I could make that shot every time, but I have made enough long shots with that pistol that it wasn't a fluke either

Thanks, i had a solid rest on my mirror and door post. I didn't know how far it was when i shot, but after i shot him and he dropped i laser ranged it. Might have been a good thing i didn't know how far it was lol

I would call 73 yards with a 4” 40sw an incredible shot. Congrats

What a shot! Was going to ask if it was a fluke, but sounds like not. Some skills for sure.

You know, he was facing me head-on and I just held upper thirdish, and that's about where I hit. But your question made me curious and I looked it up and according to a ballistic calculator with the 25-yard zero my gun should be about 4 inches low at 75. At 75 yards me missing 4 inches and actually hitting where I was hoping wouldn't surprise me LOL.

I hit him a little above the right eye
