Here's a video of a bobcat I took while hog hunting using my Sightmark Wraith NV Scope. Its markings were unusual. It was about 10 minutes after sunset so light wasn't the best but still pretty clear. https://youtu.be/NwGAPkxF8r4

OMG....I kept waiting for the shot!!!!
When I read your post....I thought that “took” meant shot and killed....not just video of a bob walking in and out alive

That cat had some great color. Would have been hard not to shoot it and do a full body mount with those spots.

Looks like a Bobcat/Ocelot hybrid. Given it's facial slimness and coat versus a regular Bobcat, I'd bet it is. They exist and are an extremely rare cat in the wild. Great footage!

Awesome coat on that cat. I liked his look when he spotted you.

We have a lot bobcat on our property and I have probably a hundred videos/pics of different ones....taken over the years.
But have yet to see one as beautifully marked at that young cat. The number of spots/rosettes and their close placement on that cat is just amazing.
Would love to have seen steadier video....but I'm sure you were doing the best you could to hold the weapon still.

I've got to admit that if I saw that beautiful bobcat with those ocelot like markings I would be so torn between shooting it to have an incredible mount or just watching it walk, hoping it would pass on those genetics!

The only problem with it being some type of ocelot/bobcat cross is that I thought ocelots were found only in South Texas but this was East Texas.

Yeah this is North East TX, Marion County just North of Lake O The Pines. Since you guys mentioned the Ocelot thing, I started looking and, in many ways, this cat looks more like an Ocelot that a Bobcat except for the bobbed tail. Not sure how it would have gotten so far North.
