Welp...guess I had some very [censored] fuel. I run the power service anti-gel religiously in the winter. Tractor sits out side. Cranked right up about 5am this morning - went inside and came out 15 mins later and it had died. Drained and refilled the fuel filter...still no dice...ran for a minute and died with a CEL.

Guessing something is froze somewhere.

May try some 911 tomorrow if I can get to town - otherwise I guess it will just have to sit and thaw.

And the supply line to the ice maker/fridge froze...cut a hole and it’s well insulated and wrapped in the wall....guessing it’s frozen at the slab...sure that will be a mess

Did you let it run long enough to circulate through the system? The ones I tested today using it fired right up, I have had diesel lines freeze and it cost a fortune to fix. I hope that’s not your issue,

1 degree this morning and mine cranked, but I was sure worried. I filled the tractor before this hit and anti-gel and keep it up against the back wall in my barn. I put out extra hay this morning in case it doesn't start tomorrow. Suppose to be 28 here tomorrow, I believe I'll wait till after lunch to try and start tomorrow.

Good luck, I feel your frustration.

I did. I ran it for a solid hour and a half Thursday and refilled it all the way to the top when I was finished. All treated fuel. I really think I got a bunch of bad fuel - when I drained the fuel filter the fuel that came out looked water contaminated.

If you have a block heater plug it in for about 30-40 min, make sure your battery cranks fast, if not put charger on it for that long as well. Cycle glow plugs several times if yo can before you
crank it. If you have a primer, prime it good before you crank it. it should start. One of the biggest keys is cranking fast enough to fire it off.

Oh crap that’s not good, if you can if toss a heating pad or electric blanket on it to try. I’ve used those methods in a pinch

My diesel truck wouldn't start this morning, I did treat the diesel but something went wrong. I guess I'll wait for it thaw.

Didn't even try my diesel truck. Luckily the jeep started (barely) and I've been driving it all day.

One of my pickups started this morning and ran normal, I haven’t tried the other one since I haven’t needed it, they were treated with the same amount Power Services.

In this area you only need a block heater once or maybe twice a year, but when you need one, they sure are nice.
