This is twice in a month and a half this place has been covered in ice. Gonna be a fun night.

1.55pm. 23 and lightly snowing here 1/4 mile from Lake LBJ/Kingsland. Ground is covered from yesterday. The wifes 2 pet Longhorns ain't a likeing this stuff.

A little bird about like the one in the pic was by the back door. I picked it up and brought it in. My wife thinks it may be what she heard hit a window. So it was either cold or had a headache. It sure wasn't hungry. My wife throws feed on the patio to supplement the feeders in a tree right by the window.

She warmed the bird up and off it went. It looks like a bird sanctuary right outside our windows.

Now I'm gonna be warming birds for two days? God's innocent creatures, but, to quote our bumbling, stammering, Commander in Chief..."Come on, Man!!"

11 here and snowing since early, low tonight is around 0 and wind. Everything is goin ok except the outside faucets. Those little covers don't cut the mustard when its this cold...

Yeah, and I found my west faucet was uncovered yesterday. Me and making sure the dang cigar is out!

I don't know a dam thing about snow, but this sure looks like it'll be more than 6 inches.

12 here now and is about to start snowing harder. This is nothing compared to the record storm when I was living in Cincinnati, we got 36" of snow in 24 hours. I think it was 1992 or 93. But up there they would even plow the neighborhood streets.

I just read the neighborhood email from our "President". She redefines "airhead". Apparently, somebody's complaining 'cause our hilly, curving streets aren't treated and the board should have seen this coming. She, admirably mentions another resident who's contacted many contractors that wouldn't touch a private, HOA neighborhood. She ends her email with mentioning how her husband says that 4WD is great. (A guy in his 70's that wears nothing but sleeveless muscle shirts...always.)

Near Longview in East Texas, we are hanging in at 24° with light freezing rain. A kid in an FJ Cruiser drove down the county road, he would punch it and you could hear the tires spin, let off and do it again so the roads are getting slick. They are calling for 7" of snow overnight and 13° in the morning with 4° on Tuesday morning. Not calling for above freezing till late Friday. All ya'll folks to the west of us, stay safe and warm as you can.
