^^^ Should of engaged the 4 wheel drive That’s the only thing that kept me from smashing into the house/car....had it on before I started that bad idea.

Keep the cold ashes from your fireplace, or some oil dry. Sprinkle it over your driveway and it will give you some traction.

All concrete at my house has a thin film of ice. The roof has about 1/4”.
It’s eerily quiet outside.

12 on the drive to work. Forney to Dallas was smooth sailing at 630pm. 30-40mph the entire way. Dallas was hit harder than Forney by a lot.

Zchains=TX Zchain HD= for TX if you drive a Ford. To heavy for a Chevy or Dodge. Boron chains=Mountains (be careful putting these on certain vehicles, brake lines and clearance issues

Keep the cold ashes from your fireplace, or some oil dry. Sprinkle it over your driveway and it will give you some traction. Great advice. 9 degrees here according to my phone. Wood burner is packed with coals right now. 4 days worth. The snow is 'squeaky', it's like nails on a chalkboard to me. This dry snow is like what you'd find in the west. Powder and dry as a popcorn fart. Great skiing snow. In the house now, ridin' the storm out. Revolver, "blood and honey", keeping me alive

I can't sit inside all day so I got out and drove around town a little bit. Not as bad ice as last week. Snow helped to keep from skidding as bad. Went to the local high school, turned off traction control and put in 2wd and did some donuts in the parking lot to pass some time, Lol. Noticed a few others were pulling kids on sleds in parking lots. Went by Academy and no ammo...drove back home.

One thing weird is that there is no moon, but the outside is lit up at midnight as much as any full moon I've seen, maybe more.
I wonder if it's from city lights reflecting off the snow?
Upon us all, upon us all, a little rain must fall

![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2021/02/full-250-281196-frontdoor.jpg) I ran an electric blanket to my Sprinkler double check to keep it from freezing and busting I also put a cover over my water meter box in case I need to access it My meter froze up earlier. Broke out the Mr Heater and problem solved

I just stepped outside to use the "facilities". It aint fitting for nothing out there. 18 degrees, snowing, and hard wind. Those of God's creation can use a prayer right now. I know they are built for the outdoors, but this weather is something else. .gif)

Truck started. Water is still on but I had one faucet I flushed this morning that took a couple of minutes to establish good flow. Almost lost it. Heater not holding setpoint this morning. It was running 5 below until I turned it down. See if it will cycle there. 8 degrees and 6” of snow.

Ox we that looks like your second snow since you’ve lived there. Seems you said you’ve only had one before.
