Absolutely false. I drove from WS to Arlington. Not one bit of ice and traffic was moving with ease until I got off way Bowen rd.

I will bet that you wouldnt have made the decision to get in the toll lanes either. Because that is what a safe driver does. Know your out, in the toll lanes there are no outs.

I work about 7 miles from there at 35/20. Have had my CDL for almost 23 years, luckily w/ no accidents. Whether you were on the toll road or two lane interstate next to it, an accident would have bottle necked no matter what. If you were running 25mph w/ only 25,000 lbs loaded and crested that hill unseen you would have plowed into someone.

I had no idea big rigs getting stuck was such a massive problem that it would be better to put 3 times more drivers on the streets in box trucks. I'm sure all the drivers you find to operate them will be fantastic

And if your load is 35ft-40ft long.........

The struggle is real

If true that has to be a miracle.

Yep. Great idea, you don't know anything about incident. No idea how fast they were going, but you watched/ feelings were hurt . I'll bet truck driver wasn't even wearing a mask

Your an idiot, those trucks were going 70 plus when they rammed those cars. Your probably wearing a mask right now.

Wow! I truly thought that’s one of the vehicles that crushed the driver. Wow

Keep in mind, the trucks weren’t the only ones going above 70. All involved were moving at pretty good speeds.

I’m not sure if it was him or not but when the semi hit it their was what appears to be a guy standing up on the opposite side of the barrier, all the carnage went right over his head and he stood up immediately after the impact. My guess is he had got out of the vehicle and hopped the barrier, I watched it several times and it’s hard to see where he came from. He had either jumped out or fell out when he was hit. This is a pic of the guy I saw.[Linked Image]

Right. There are too many NB cars to see where he came from. I think he was already on that side and ducked when FedEx came in, and all the carnage went right over them. That person is still one lucky sob

His story is online. He was trying to help a trapped lady when he saw the big rig coming at them. He jumped away as the truck crushed the lady to death. H then went to help others.

Horrible situation. Wish folks weren't so quick to judge others. Everything is too emotionally driven these days. Folks blaming the truck drivers right off the bat and demanding that they be put away for life.

I guarantee you that none of those truck drivers wanted that to happen. I travel a lot (normally) and it's the every day drivers on their [censored] phones not paying attention that cause almost all wrecks today. Even drunk drivers are better than that.

Black ice is some scary [censored]. You think you are in control, until you aren't. All of that mental preparedness means nothing when your steering wheel and brakes don't do what you tell them to.

Stop blaming the truck drivers. Some of them may be contemplating suicide right now.

Pray for them all.
