The ISS is best viewed pre dawn as it’s coming out of the pitch black, it’s really huge looking and hauling butt. Sunset sightings are ok but lack the brightness the predawn sightings offer do to it coming from light towards the darkness. Regardless of you’ve never witnessed it it’s worth checking it out. I’ve watched it hundreds of times and it’s pretty cool to see something moving that fast knowing humans are on board.

Cool.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

We used this https://spotthestation.nasa.gov/sightings/index.cfm to get the times to go look.

Here is another site that gives ISS position.
Can just look at graphic and see where it is or sign up with your location and will give visible passes well in advance plus other satellites.
