Haven't hunted Granger yet and was out just scouting gates. Saw guys in orange. Is that year round for safety or is there something still in season requiring orange?
Thanks, JB

I believe hunter orange applies only to public lands not private, however I would still at least wear a orange hat for safety reasons. Itβs better to be safe than π€

I was ticketed back in the mid nineties for not having orange hunted there for five years and never knew differently. I had an old publication that stated no orange was required to bow hunt. It was outdated and I was fined i think $250.00 started wearing orange from then on.

Most WMA's no orange required for archery only hunts.. If (archery), co-insides with any gun hunts, (squirrel, hog, & such) they are required...

Something worth noting, Granger Lake is a Corps of Engineers facility, making it Federal land and having its own sets of rules to comply. I just did a quick search to find that they have given authority to TPWD. Places like Waco Lake and Whitney Lake still are under USACE management and create their own individual requirements.
