Fargo ND predicted to be -40 degrees Saturday morning with wind chills around -60...that's some hardy folks and animals up thataway...

They can keep that mess up there. I worked up there off and on in 2008-2009 and was not impressed with the winter weather.

We'll see what the forecast models say as it gets closer - the GFS, CMC, and ICON all had N Texas going below freezing for about 84-86 hours next (Valentines) weekend. Lows in the single digits.
Hopefully that moderates some because that is a pipe busting disaster for a lot of people.

I once spent Dec-Feb in Wilmar MN.
The highest temp for the entire time was -4
Screw a whole bunch of that....
