On meds twice a day and changed my diet and all has been good since then.
Again, very glad they could do the stent and open up you blood flow without you having to be opened up.

Just curious - how’d you identify the food allergy?

SD, glad you were able to get this fixed. You need to use it as a wake up call to take better care of yourself and to heed the warnings your body gives you. I wish you many more years ahead.

I really do not know how to thank you enough for all,of the well wishes. This was shocking to say the least when Dr told me.

Dr has me on Lipitor, and some other blood thinner. Have a constant headache and have been sleeping all day.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Again, I thank you ALL!1

Just curious - how’d you identify the food allergy?

I started keeping a food diary, I wrote down everything I ate and noted the times I had an event. I went back 12 hours of each event and looked at what I ate different that meal than other meals. At first it was very vague, then I started looking at the ingredients of what I ate. It turned out to be bananas. I wrote down muffins in the diary and it was when we noticed that they were banana muffins that the light came on. The heart doctor said it was the first time he had ever heard of them being a problem, but since I have quite eating anything with bananas as an ingredient the problem has gone away. Over 2 years now without a problem and am afraid to eat anything that has them in it.

Wow, can’t say I’ve heard of that either but glad you got it figured out.

Wow, Shane. That was just a little too close for comfort. So glad that you're doing well. You and I are about the same age. If I ever get chest pain my skinny arse is going straight to the emergency room. Anyone else should do the same. So happy that you got to see the Dr. in time.

99% blockage eeks333 Good to hear you are going to stay on the top side of the dirt for hopefully a very long time up

Did the doc give you any clues as to what might have caused it? Unhealthy diet, genetics or just one of those things that happens?

Yes sir I keep hearing how lucky I am..etc. I seriously thought he was just "leaning" on me when he told me I almost died.

Got the final report yesterday......

Pretty scary, my follow up appointment will be the 9th of this month. I am assuming both at this point, my grandfather died of a heart attack on the couch in Lawn, Texas. Sister, mom and brother have hypertension and my blood pressure has always been high. I am a little over weight not much though and am in pretty good shape.

I'll report the final results after the follow up.
