I had the range @Camp Bullis pretty much to myself today. There was some wind, but I was only shooting out to a hundy so no drama with hitting sub MOA groups. Outdoor shooting is the best.

There's a public range at Bullis?

There's a public range at Bullis? Yes. With caveats. *Active Duty and Retired Military and their guest. *Must have a DODID or know someone who does to escort/sponsor you. I believe that CAC Holders can have up to 2 guest with them. *It is only open SAT and SUN 9AM to 3PM. It cost $10 per person, per day. Limited to pistols, shotguns, intermediate caliber semi autos, and short action caliber rifles only (RE: no magnum or .50BMG weps). *Max Range 300M. *The range provides all targets and materials with the $10 Range fee. *Must check in at the Base Rod and Gun Club first. They give you a slip to give to the RSO. Best Place to rifle shoot in SA without a doubt.

I didn't serve, so I don't qualify, but I'm glad it's there for those that do/did.
