This cartridge got hung up while chambering. Though I've reloaded for a few years, I have not reloaded much at all and have not encountered this. Never seen that either. If it will chamber i'd shoot it and see what happened when i sized it.

If the brass is important to you, pull the bullet, dump the powder and trim the case shorter.

If the brass is important to you, pull the bullet, dump the powder and trim the case shorter. Never seen that either. If it will chamber i'd shoot it and see what happened when i sized it. It won't chamber. File the burr off, chamber it, and shoot it. Those are the options, I’d toss it unless it was for an AR.

And throw away bullet, powder, primer and a perfectly good piece of brass? All worth over $2.50 for just one round. You sure love setting money on fire.

Fireman’s suggestion is the easiest. I doubt that accuracy will even be affected by it.

yup, file the bur off and shoot it. i'd be more interested in finding what it hung up on though. looks like a pretty significant mar on that bullet. just my
