I am sure this has been discussed in the past and I have used the search button above, but i still cant seem to find.
I figure some of you guys have insurance on your guns and scopes. I found out my HO really doesn't cover but a very small percentage. I have reached out to Lockton through NRA, but was looking for more referrals. TIA

Your insurance company didn't offer a rider to cover the guns? Mine did and it was pretty cheap.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

I asked my insurance agent about guns he said they would be covered under my contents insurance. Most homeowners insurance will cover firearms, but typically with pretty low maximum amounts. I think a NRA membership covers a certain amount- it used to.

Most homeowners policies cover your guns etc under personal possessions, contents - but they are generally subject to your 1%, or more, deductible. Get a $1500 gun stolen from your pickup and you have $300,000 covg on your home with 1% deductible - your out of luck. You can get affordable coverage for all your firearms, optics etc. with an Inland marine policy. Premium is based on value and deductible, which you determine. Any antique/collector firearms might have to be appraised. PM me for more info

Reach out to Varmintslayer on here as well. He is with Texas Farm Bureau . They would be covered by personal property on Home insurance subject to 1% deductible or. $250. Deductible on inland marine.

I also use Collect Insure. Very reasonable premiums, doesn't require itemizing unless you have something over $5k (I think that's the limit...).

Your insurance company didn't offer a rider to cover the guns? Mine did and it was pretty cheap. I went that route as well. Not sure if guns included in a rider policy are also covered if stolen from your vehicle. Many years ago my homeowner's insurance paid me for tools that were stolen from my truck because they were usually stored at my home. This may also be a case where having auto and home insurance from the same company could offer that protection. Definitely a question for your agent.

Isn't anyone concerned with giving a list of guns that you own to someone or us that not required in order to get the rider?

Any antique/collector firearms might have to be appraised. PM me for more info Pretty much on point. Some companies utilize a theft limit on guns. Typically see that at $2,500 per occurrence and not per gun. Some will allow you to increase that limit. Pretty certain, State Farm, Liberty Mutual, Safeco, Farmers, Allstate, USAA all utilize this limitation. Germania (for certain), Hochheim Prairie and Texas Farm Bureau likely do not have this language, but you will need to check for yourself. Have one gun stolen from your truck and it likely will be under the deductible on your home insurance. The answer there is to not get one stolen from your vehicle. Please note - all policies have limitations for certain items such as cash, bullion, jewelry and other items which should be "quantified" prior to loss.

Isn't anyone concerned with giving a list of guns that you own to someone or us that not required in order to get the rider? Collect/Insure does not require you to provide a list of guns you own. You only have to schedule any gun worth over $5k, and insure for the total amount.
