I bought my wife a Quadratech light bar for Christmas (her idea) for her 2015 Wrangler but I am too ham handed to trust installing it, especially the dash part. Plus with my knee issue. She had her mechanic on board for the install but he just called and said he misunderstood and now I'm looking for a person/shop to install. This is her baby so it's got to be done right. Any DFW area recommendations? TIA

He's actually a body shop guy. She's been getting her oil changed there for years before we met.

So, he’s not a mechanic, and he doesn’t have a basic understanding of an electrical circuit?

That’s fine, if that’s the case. I just want to be clear on this since you called him a mechanic.

I've never met him. Maybe he's scared of messing up like I am. Wife LOVES her Jeep.

Why are you busting his balls? I appreciate his honesty for knowing his limitations.

Better to be honest with your customers rather than pi$$ them off.

I’m not. You called him a mechanic, not me.

There's a truck accessory place next door to Classic GMC in Arlington on I-20, just west of 360. I bet they can do it.

^^^^ Do not do this, I’ve never been impressed by their bedside manner.

Only Jeep place you need to know: Dallas Off-road. They are awesome and fixed a bump steer issue that another shop created with their lift.

It does not take an engineer. Not sure where you are mounting but a guy that runs a body shop should have no problem with it. I know Toyotas not jeeps but I am sure it is not that difficult. I mounted 2 on my Tundra along with all wiring and new headlights.. You might try the Jeep forum. [Linked Image]

More like what mechanic wants to?

Any mechanic could but most are mechanics, as in they fix cars. Not install accessories like lights, bumpers, toolboxes etc.

Hard to mess up a light bar install.

X2 do not do this. I learned my lesson.

Light bars are not hard at all. I’m not an engineer nor a mechanic and I installed a new front bumper, relocated my radar for my cruise control, mounted 4 rigid pod lights, wired the orange back lighting to daytime running lights, wired the white lights to a upfitter switch, installed a 40” curved KC bar on the bumper, wired it to another upfitter, and installed a 50” KC bar on my chase rack that is actuated, and wired it to another upfitter switch.

It will definitely light up the night.
