Sometimes they flare ducks, it depends on when and where you are hunting. Ive had great success with them, and had birds flare like crazy.

Mojo work so good on dove because they are all a year or two old!!!! They also work on dove because the ones you are shooting are home raised... Ducks been shot at from September unto\il they get here in November!!! Thats why they are a waste of cash in the south now.. If it was like it use to be when no one used them, then well they would still work... But its not..

wow...looks like i missed the fireworks.

as far as the mojo goes, always had good luck w/ them early in the season. about middle-late December i leave it at the house 'cause it does become fairly recognizable. never used a mojo dove before, but i've heard good things about them

I'm gonna try the mojo dove out this year for the first time, all I've heard about it are good as well, as far as ducks, I've only been duck hunting once, so if I ever get a place to start going regularly, I will try it out too. Very good tips in this thread for it!

Hmmmm...

Mojos are effective fo both dove and duck. The remote controlled mojo's cost alot more don't they? A remote on a mojo duck would be nice to have.

Spinners are good in certain situations.........sometimes they are not. Read the ducks and they'll tell ya what they want.

I use them early season then switch to two jerk cords. Jerk cords are timely proven through the entire season.

A friend of mine swears by the baby mojo. He bought one when they first come out with them and the batteries weren't all that good yet. After using it a while and recharging several times the mojo would start to slow down pretty quick after he put it out and like a lot of you especially after the season had been on for a while he noticed that it seemed to flare the ducks more than it would bring them in until one day when it running about half of its normal speed they started coming back to it like a magnet to steel. He ordered a new battery set and went down to Radio Shack and bought a potentiometer and installed it on one of the battery leads so he could adjust the speed on it. Now when they start to flare he just slows it down and they keep coming. I'll probably get one this year as well and it will be modified to do this.

Good idea! I've always thought it looked better with the wings going slower, too.
