I was thinking about getting one that has the remote on/off switch. I am not a good caller so I am thinking it could help me until I get better at it.
What does everybody think?

I would def get one. Use it for early teal- they are pretty dumb. I use mine for a little while into the season. But there really does seem to be point in the season where it has an adverse affect and at that point I stop using it.
These birds have seen them from the Dakotas and Canada all the way down the Central Flyway and into Texas. I still like to use a mojo when it's foggy or rainy and visibility is low.

Baby Mojo is the only one I would get. Light weight and so easy to pack in. Good deal on a good product.

what ? i have seen time and time again a mojo bring birds in that otherwise would not have even considered for a split second to come in. sometime birds have been called before and they are not as ignorant as you think, i would use one if you are in a hunting location that has pressure and maybe if your lucky the people hunting it havent been using the mojo

I'm honestly not sure if this is a joke or if you are serious. Mojos work...it's not even something that can be debated. There are times when they won't work and will flare ducks but IMO its part of learning how to hunt.
Personally I think mojos are best at legal shoot and for about 30 minutes or if it's a dark cloudy day. If it's a blue bird day they might have a lot of glare coming off them and end up doing more harm than good.
But over all you can never really make a blanket statement like they don't work....or that they always work. Like many things it's situational and it takes time to learn when and what conditions are right for using a mojo.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

Don't be hesitant to change gears on the fly. The ducks will let you know if they're down with your mojo or not.
I've seen them flare ducks, but I've also seen ducks lock onto them. Watch what they do, they will tell you.

I hunt in Texas and in Arkansas. The place I hunt in Texas is a pond where the ducks want to be. Right before daylight the ducks come in by the dozens. Mostly ringnecks but that is fine with me. After that not much comes in. I am hoping with the Mojo I will be able to pull in some birds that are passing over but not in shooting range.
Late last season in Arkansas we had problems with the ducks landing out in open water about 150 yards away. Maybe the Mojo will help in that situation too.

I think "young" birds are attracted, and will fly right to it. Older birds, attracted from long distance, but once they get close, say 75 yards, they call BS.
So I think the solution for mojo (ducks that is, not dove), is set the mojo off away from your spread (say 20+ yards from the edge of your spread). This will bring the birds into your “area” but not flare them from your “spot”. In fact, once they fly into the “area”, the mojo may flare them into your “spot/spread”. My biggest fear with this strategy is that ducks would go to mojo outside my spread and I would not have a shot (vs landing in my spread), but I have not seen that yet, spread has always been more attractive when given a choice .
That all said, I’m not sure I every used my Mojo last year, it is more trouble than worth. You just got to be where the ducks want to land, that is 90% of the work (scout work that is).

When they first came out they worked like a champ, but I think now they seem to flare more ducks than they bring in. Now when I hunt in North Dakota I will use one because they are young ducks and havent seen em yet, but when the ducks get down here they have seen them all the way down, and bad things happen to them when they see that spining wing. Thats why I belive in strong agresive calling. When is the last time some one from up north has one the worlds??? You would prolly be beter to buy some swimmers, IMHO

i agree, ive been calling near ten years now and still practice everyday on my way to work. Most people have the impression that a mojo will make every duck that flies by lock up and light on the end of your barrel, that just aint true. they work good in the early season, but decoy setup and concealment are the main factors in any duck hunt. If ducks see you, or your setup is wrong you aint killin. Be where the duck are, set up right, and stay down and you'll kill ducks.

Pretty much like everyone else is saying. I got one as a gift a couple of seasons ago and have noticed the same results.
Early season it'll suck 'em right in. You don't really need the remote.
Late season it works great to get their attention on the spread during the first 30 minutes after LST. Make sure you keep the remote handy and cut it off once you know they've seen your dekes. Late morning it will flare more than it attracts. I leave it off after the first hour, sooner on a clear day.
