The guy that processes my deer sells pastries his 90 year old mother makes. When I dropped off an axis this summer he gave me a dozen cinnamon rolls. I've bought a dozen every time I've dropped off or picked up an animal since then.

I'm telling you! Every time I go there I'm getting a dozen.

The best I ever had was at a all you can eat place called "Ol Whiskers". There were several around the Dallas area but don't think they are around anymore. They served catfish, shrimp, chicken, etc but I always saved room for the cinnamon rolls.

Use to get some good ones in Memphis when I was a kid.

Whataburger's are good, or at least they used to be.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but not a fan of cinnamon rolls. I will take pretty much any donut or pastry over a cinnamon roll.

Used to love the ones from Grandy's. Then in Nov 1986 I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
Then one morning a cople of years later I happened to be at a Grandy's getting breakfast and they pulled a pan of them out of the oven.
Before they frosted them I asked for one. I discovered that at some stores you can ask for one unfrosted.
Don't do it very often but they are good.

In college there was a cafe that made them as big as the plate. As. Big. As. The. Plate. Slathered in butter and... dang. Freshman 15 was a one meal endeavor.

I haven't seen a picture of a cinnamon roll in this thread yet that I wouldn't eat, they all look so good.

It's been a little while since I have been, but last I was there, Dixie House Cafe used to have pretty good cinnamon rolls.
