I just bought the Contixo F30. It arrived on Thursday...I just need some AA batteries for the remote. They were supposed to be delivered tonight, but they'll be here in the morning. I have always wanted a remote controlled airplane, but those things are way too high and I'll probably crash 'em. This thing was $200 and I won't be AS upset if it crashes.

I got one you hold in your hand and it takes off and maintains distance from everything around it. Pretty fun for the little guy lol.

I have an Inspire 2 and had a Mavic 2 Pro before I trashed it, their addicting and pretty fun to play with. I use them for work but they are really great for off season scouting as well. I don’t use them as much as I did but that’s mainly due to not having the time. If you have some free time to fly one on occasion you can see your world from a new perspective. It’s pretty amazing,

Lots of lightly used Mavics and Phantoms for sale from folks who were intrigued as well, but ultimately found out they weren't. I'd recommend that route to start.

I've got a DJI Phantom 3 that I have flown long distance maybe a dozen times. Never crashed or landed hard. I flew it to check my hog trap that is 1/2 mile from my house a few times. I just don't have time to fly it like I thought I would. If you are looking to buy one, shoot me a PM.

I had a dji 3 professional. Loved flying it, no issues. Was told not allowed to fly within a state park so I sold it.
Thinking of getting another, but do not see the purpose. Fun toy, just no use.

Total rookie here, but I have 3.
Eachine 10 is a cool little indoor toy. Inexpensive and difficult to break. Highly recommend it for fun, and learn the vey basics.
Simrex 300 another cool little folding drone. Bough myself for Christmas, about $60. Haven’t flown it much bc it’s been windy here and I don’t want to lose it.
JJRC (forget the exact model). $160 or so. Have only flown it a couple of times, but pretty simple to learn amd decent camera.
I need to put more time into flying them all, but they’re fun so far, and I haven’t broken the bank.

For those with mavic 2 pros, what are your using them for? What's your real life flight time, and I'm what kind of wind can you fly in.

I got about 25 minutes before I got to sceered and brought it home. I will say for certainty don’t get caught in 25 mph winds, that’s how I wiped mine out when a storm was coming it, I thought I could beat it I fly in 10 mph winds all the time,

I one of the operators for our PD. Not long ago, there were skeletal remains found on a ranch adjacent to our city limits. We took the drone out to see if we could find more bones as they were pretty well scattered. We had located the skull, spine, hip bone, and a femur. We didn't realize just how closely a dried cedar branch resembles a dried bone.

The stated limit is about 22MPH, I wouldn't fly one at that wind speed if you hope to get it back. I have a M600P that will fly in faster winds, but landing can be pretty exciting and expensive, in higher winds. Winds tend to get faster the higher you go. Charlie

I fly mine for farm and ranch appraisals all the time and push the duration envelope; especially when I know I can set it down somewhere I can get to it. I have had a few flights approaching 30 minutes that resulted in a short walk to pick up the drone rather than watching it auto land where it took off from.
I appraised a gorgeous ranch in Kentucky last year and the wind was relatively calm in the valley (they call 'em hollers) I took off out of; but I had to get over a ridge to the next "holler". Wind was absolutely ripping at altitude over the ridge and had to put it in sport mode to fight the headwind and not get blown backwards; I'm guessing it was gusting 30+ and sustained at 20 - the wind warning was on the whole time. It was a 15-ish minute flight to the far spot. I stayed up high and rode the wind back and made it back to the take off point in 2-3 minutes with the low battery/return home warning screaming at me; ground speed was over 30 mph on the return.
