The coach they're getting has a worse record as a head coach than the one they let go. I guess they believe something rubbed off on him while at Alabama.

I like it when guys that have no idea what is going on on the 40 acres writes a story, or reports about it like they are in the know. Kinda like how they say 50 million......... buyout. Now I'm not the smartest guy, but they have to pay for a coach either way.... right? The buy out for Herman is 15 million and his staff is around 10, and thats if the staff leaves. From what I've heard the staff wasn't fired. Also the real reason Herman is gone is what he perpetuated with all the protesting and demands from the football team to change things at the University. Most importantly the Eyes of Texas. The tail should never wag the dog.

Well I understand how it looks with laying off people in the athletic department. Not sure exactly who they were or what their association is. But, here's the bottom line. It's the Alums money to do what they want to with. If they want to buy the guy out and get a new one, no matter how stupid or wrong that decision is, that's their decision and their money. I'm not sure I think Sarkisian is any better than Herman. Time will tell. I just think it's kind of silly to get up in arms about the money spent to do so. It's private money. Who cares?
