I figure internet sales of guns and ammo is about to be a thing of the past.

Why anyone would buy from these douche nozzles is beyond me, but that's just my opinion.

No one would that has had experience with them over the years. What they live off of though are the unsuspecting first time buyers with more money than sense and of course this year, there are lots of those.

CTD had a Cheaper Than Dirt "Guns" store in Round Rock. It lasted three months. They had used Pre-64 M70s for sale for around $5500.00!

I am dead set against the State getting involved. What a private company does is none of their business. Market forces will level the playing field naturally.

Yes, the profiteers who wait in line for hours to capture the ammo and make it hard for the rest of us are irritating.I would hope that anyone can see the pitfalls of allowing the Government to decide what a "fair" price is for your product or service.

Keep in mind that we are not talking about food, water, or critical medications during a national emergency.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

Normally I'd be in 100% agreement with you...but just as how the Surgeon General was allowed to put a warning on every pack of cigarettes that "Warning, the Surgeon General has determined that cigarette smoking may be hazardous to your health"...they should at least require everything that CTD sales to have a label on it that says "Warning, The Attorney General has determined that our prices are hazardous to the health of your wallet and if you would just take 30 minutes to look elsewhere you would save yourself a crap ton of money." Or something to that effect.

All that matters are all the district, circuit and supreme court Judges that Trump brought in. They will decide this.

Cheaper Than Dirt had good prices on stuff once apon a time. I use to go over to the Ft.Worth story when they only had the one little small showroom. I bought a TON of stuff from them back then at really good prices. Once they started expanding and these crazy mass shootings started happening they started getting greedy. If they would have just stayed like they were they would have been so much better off(customers too).

Not a fan of CTD and did not see website, but after reading article and comments, this was looked more bait and switch than price gouge.

If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

Yep. I really used to looked forward to the magazines in the mail and the 2 or 3 trips we would make up to the store per year.

20 years ago their prices could not be beat. I remember buying a pallet of 7.62x51 Portuguese surplus for just under 6 cents per round and when they had new in the wrap G3 mags for under a dollar each I bought a few thousand of them. A poster on this forum used to work for them and he told me that the company consisted of 3 competing factions of family members who were constantly trying to steal from one another and that it really hit the fan when they closed the sales counter in Ft Worth. He quit with they staged a phony burglary.

Trolling? Heck no, I meant every word of it.

Yep, used to frequent the ft worth store, still laugh about the times I went in there at the last when they had the mail order nook almost in the middle of the store on the far wall. Went in once and asked a big ole fat boy behind the counter about something pertaining to the mail order part , sucker got plum testy with me. So I goes back and Talks with the ole kid behind
The mail order nook, mentioned the fat boy behind the counter, he just smiled and said they were two different entities.I asked the mail order kid if they jumped him or spit on em if he came out from behind the counter, real strange setup. 😃

Sad. I remember going to CTD as a kid with my dad and later becoming a customer myself. Good products fairly priced. Had what seemed a good business model with a loyal customer base.
