How many of you are teachers or coaches that find time to hunt? (I'd even take school administrators!)
Just curious, I know there are a few that troll around here some. I was a teacher/coach for 14 years, a principal for 6, now back to teaching and coaching again.

I teach at the college level. My students are generally female- I teach in a Nursing School. I hunt EVERY day possible (dove, quail, pheasants, ducks, geese, hogs, deer).
CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE FOR TOMORROW. INVEST IN TOMORROW BY TAKING A CHILD HUNTING OR FISHING TODAY.

I am a college welding instructor and teach in a state prison. My dad who hunts with me is a retired high school ag teacher. The extra time off around Christmas gives me a lot of time to spend at the lease, not to mention that I only work four days a week, three day weekends are great as well. Thanks for starting this, it is nice to see this many teachers involved in hunting.

I teach and coach, and I make time to hunt. This is how I spend time with my family. If it's cold we go, it's raining we go,if it's windy we go,If it's hot we go. If you wait for perfect weather you don't get to go much.

7mag, I worked in security for 5 yrs before going back and finishing my degree. Thought I was never going back to TDCJ, but as they say, never say never. This is much better than security, most of my guys are trying to better themself and welding is a good field for these guys. Studies hsow that offenders who complete a college vocational trade have a recidivism rate of about 10%. Thats darn good compared to the overall picture. Anyway, I enjoy working with metal and just maybe it might keep a few from going back

Heck, I wish I knew how to weld also. It is a trade I am very interested in learning one of these summers. It seems to definitely be an artform to do it correctly and well. Maybe you can put together a THF class or something. Just an idea.

Hey sig226fan, were you ever a coach in McKinney? I think you may have been my 7th grade football coach (maybe Fall 1989?)

It's a small world. I'm John. I was on the same team with Newt McKissick and Bill Poe (same team meaning they played on the A team and I watched from the sidelines on the B team). I only played my 7th grade year. I was one of the worst athletes on the field - God just didn't give me any talent when it comes to sports. I started out with you, trying to be a quarterback, but I was quickly sent over to the receivers group. I think I caught a total of three passes in practice all year. But I still remember Right Pro 32 Lead from the first day of practice.
I spend most of my time in the Washington, DC area now, but make it back to McKinney as much as I can. I may have some gun business for you when I come back to McKinney in a couple of weeks.

Teach Geometry and Algebra 2. Coach Softball in the spring. They have been trying for years to get me to coach football but would cut into my hunting too much.

Hey HunterTed,
I graduated MHS in '94, but most of my crew was class of '95. It's crazy how many Collin County folks are around here on THF.
