Have a friend that is going to file for divorce. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations good or bad for attorney in the Lindale/Tyler area I can pass along? Looks like its not going to be a pleasant one with young kids and custody battle.

Unfortunately the kids are the ones that get hurt... Prayers... I have seen a fathers get the very short end of the stick more than once and get hurt as well

Unfortunately the kids are the ones that get hurt... Prayers... I have seen a fathers get the very short end of the stick more than once and get hurt as well This^^^^^^ I was lucky and after a year I got custody and she had to pay me child support. Her being a hardassbitck during the divorce and the following year ended up biting her in the butt. Prayers for your friend and especially his kids....

My Wife is an Attorney in Greenville. Her firm also has an office in Emory. PM me if either isn't too far for him.
I'll warn you up front that my Wife will evicerate both parents if either of them try to use the kids as leveraging tools.

As SnakeWrangler posted, parents can be hurt also... Yet, tis a failure ta communicate by both parents... Evaluate both parents, if either of them try to use the kids as leveraging tools...

Some how, some way, make it work. Very unlikely the father will win anything substantive in a custody battle. If she is so bad, I wouldn't want to leave my kiddoes alone with her.

Yeah it sucks. I was in the middle of my parents nasty divorce when I was 12. I remember standing in the front yard holding them apart in the middle of the night when I was 12 when the police showed up. It really messed me up.
I hate to see kids involved in a bitter divorce.
I think Im going to steer them to Sinclair Law office in Tyler, it looks like it has pretty good reviews.
