I've been selling crap that isn't nailed down...I went in to Scheels yesterday and they had a Daniel Defense M4A1 that I didn't need but have always wanted..ok, checked that off. Next is a DD MK12, I'm not sure I've ever even seen one for sale but it's in the catalog and on their website so it has to exist...I have to quit going in there and Rifle Gear.

That's my problem. They are just down the road. The guys at Rifle Gear know me by my first name - AND my son works at Cabelas so all my money goes to these 3 places (what the wife doesn't get anyways, ssssh don't tell her).

Yeah, Scheels is dangerous. They carry too many high-end, nice guns. To make matters worse, if they dont have what you want in-store but in-stock in another one of their stores, they will get it to your home store for free. I bought my H&K SP5 at lowest price possible from one of their Utah stores and they had it in TX 7 days later, no shipping, no transfer fee.

I keep going in there and handling their Beretta and Browning O/Us because I “need” a nice 410 or 28 for my 3yr and 1yr old boys.

Any chance they have reloading stuff in stock?

Since I don't reload anymore I can't tell you what they have in stock, but I can tell you that they do carry reloading supplies and equipment. Earl

Nice meeting you too Greg. When you go into Riflegear ask for Tyler and tell him I sent you. He'll set you up. He also is a rare breed of salesman that knows the products and will honestly tell you the good and the bad.

The concept is great, you don't have to wait for a guy behind the counter to hand you a rifle if you want to get a hold of it and see how it feels and look at the finish. Most of the long guns are just out there for you to get a hold of. And if you do want to talk to a sales person about it, they know their stuff. That's true in any department at that store.

I can tell you the guys at Scheels appreciate the kind words. Making a good impression on a new market matters to us a lot, and Im glad the training we put into the staff down here is showing through. I'll keep an eye on a MK12 for you Earl

They do have a decent reloading section but like factory ammo, they’re out of a lot of powders, primers, etc.

Schells is the only place I could find .257 weartherby brass and R25 powder. Love that store!

Wish I lived closer to one. they have a lot of things in stock recently I need but they won't ship.

Been there twice. Both times you could follow the drool pattern to locate me in that store.

Mine too. Being in the same town makes life easy for me with that 100 yard indoor range at Riflegear. I bought a pro membership during the pre-sale and got a decent deal. And then there’s Scheels. Too bad this pandemic wrecked their big grand opening event. But glad they are open nonetheless.
