in 1912 Savage introduced the savage 22 hp, was an instant
hit, was used all over the world, Afica, India, don't know how true the writings were. all major cartrige mgs produce the bullets, savage, remington, peters, winchester, dominon, hornady. 70 gr bullets the one on the left is the 22 hp and the 30-30 for savage collectors "condition" is the NO 1 factor with rarity next, nothing added after leaving the factory, no sling studs, no added recoil pad ect. the one I found a couple weeks ago is pristeen, the lever picture didn not show the 98% case hardening. blue is 100% as is the wood. a take down model made in 1920
My nephew got his first Doe with my 22 Savage HP dropped him in his tracks. He was seven years old and I purchase a beater buttstock and cut it down and added a pad then switched the original as not to ruin collectors value. It also has the Stith scope mounting on it. Yours is in a lot nicer condition than mine

due to my med issues, I don't get to shoot much, I will shoot some of my collection, only in very controlled times, there are a few that I will not shoot. example "the Savage 250-300 engraved ($6.000. ) pc. a few that have no marks of any kind, will not take the chance of messing up. Kenny
