I have a property that I got permission to duck hunt on. Located in Calhoun County on a marsh that feeds in to powderhorn lake. There is a good amount of water now with y’all reeds on the sides. I plan on hunting the X tomorrow morning. I have seen a group of 30 ducks sitting there the past 3 days at 9 am. I have no decoys except for some mojo dove decoys. I’ll take any advice at all! Thanks y’all!

If the ducks are using it and are landing within shotgun range no decoys or calling are necessary. Hide yourself and don’t move until time to shoot.

Run to the nearest of Academy and pick up a 6 pack of the cheapest decoys you can find. It could end up playing out like the last poster responded but it’s just as likely if not more that they will end up on the opposite end of this marsh and out of shotgun range if you don’t have decoys out there

The 6 cheapest decoys thrown out by someone who doesn’t know how to hunt is pointless. If he’s where the ducks want to be, it won’t matter, if he’s not where they want to be, it won’t matter. Hide yourself better than you think you should and have fun, take note or where the ducks are landing if it’s not in front of you. That’s where you need to be

That’s where you need to be Agree that you need to hide yourself REALLY well and have fun but that’s about it. If they are not able to lock eyes on dekes while circling or descending then odds are they are going to be spotting you....That is unless you are hidden really well and don’t move a muscle. The dove mojos could be the ticket though for Teal that should be down there by the Coast

The marsh is less than 100 yards wide. I have some tall reeds I’ll be standing in but that’s about it.
I’m sure I’ll get a shot on a few. This is my first time actually duck hunting and I’ll be alone so maybe I’ll get. Addicted and buy me some decoys lol

100 yards changes things...Based on that screenshot was thinking at least 200. What was recommended by the other posters might end up working out. Good luck and let us know how it goes tomorrow morning

Ducks like to land into the wind as well, so you might position yourself with the wind at your back or quartering on your shoulder. Terrain leading into the pond and wind might push them to land in a certain area.

Thanks for all the tips y’all.
Ending up having like 20 coots come in and 6 teal. We had some big ducks fly over but they didn’t get in range.
Not a bad morning for my first time actually trying to go for ducks
