What chair do y'all use when predator hunting? I just ordered a Ground N' Pound Beard Buster seat/pack. Looked to be the same as the Sly Dog Ground N' Pound chair that I could not find available.

That's one heck of a hunting chair you got there! I was asking more about when out calling for predators and moving around doing different sets.

I used a short stool designed for turkey hunting. I think it came from Academy.

That's one heck of a hunting chair you got there! I was asking more about when out calling for predators and moving around doing different sets. The area I used to call in was about 1500 acres of creek bottom and open pasture. The land owner liked to be comfortable so we would move this chair around between 4 pastures. He passed away and his girlfriend gave me 'the chair'. I only have one spot to call in now but I like the freestyle rocker chair when moving around a lot.

The chair is silent when you move around, but I'm loud when I'm sawing logs.

I had a tripod stool, one of the cheap ones that sell everywhere, if I want to be sitting up higher or tucked in trees. Most of the time I just use a butt pad on the ground and try to have something like a backpack or tree to lean back against.

I ended up getting the Ground N' Pound Sly Dog/Beard Buster chair. Slick little chair/pack. I'll update after I get out and do some sets with it.

At 73, I need every crutch I can find. The Sniper Seat 360 has an adjustable support for a rifle. It rides around in the back of my Toyota Tacoma. I fold the seat back down flat and turn the support upside down. That way it looks like some sort of walker and does not attract any attention. I also use a folding camp chair that rides around bagged up in the back of my 1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ with a Bog Pod tripod.

MRmad, i really like that chair. The pics dont show the shooters resting their elbows on the arm rests--is it not designed for that? It wont adjust to accomplish that? Seems like a lot of trouble to design something for a specific purpose and not be able to lock in the elbows. I dont varmit hunt but it would work for deer hunting with rifle or crossbow.

In my camp chair I have used the arm rest and no tripod successfully so I know what you mean. Based on my limited experience, I would rather have the rifle support and forfeit the elbow support. To support the elbows and the rifle would probably require a Portable Shooting Bench or Table.

I went out this past weekend and did ten or so sits, the ground n' pound chair is very nice. I think it'll be a game changer for me. No more achy back and fidgeting from being uncomfortable.
