This little .224 diameter bullet is about as ugly as it gets but seems to perform pretty well. I load them up in straight 223 for my dad's truck gun and he's never had one not exit. Well this weekend he shot a deer with it at around 180yds the deer was quartering and it went through the off shoulder stopping just under the hide of a 180lb buck. Bullet weighed 55.9gr so it retained roughly 87% of it's initial weight and expanded nicely too.

I had read somewhere that Nosler had quit making that bullet. I’m glad to be wrong.

I had read somewhere that Nosler had quit making that bullet. I’m glad to be wrong. I sure hope they didn't. I'm going to have to check my supply and see if I need to get more just in case.

If this bullet has been discontinued, and I can’t get more, I think I have a small amount of the 64’s that I’ll give to a good home. They have been pulled from reloads, so have a collet mark on them.

It was my favorite bullet in 223, and yes, they did discontinue it.

Wonder if they discontinued it for reloading only. They had a contract for that bullet in loaded ammo for the fbi.
