Clearing out what's left of last year's tamales, getting ready to make a new batch tomorrow.
Cooked up a batch of EXTRA HOT homemade tamales, and made a Juevos Rancheros of sorts...

Toasted up two buttery flour tortillas, then in a skillet crisped up 6 hot tamales, covered by 3 fried eggs sunny side up fresh out the hen house, then topped with some homemade smoked habanero salsa and cheese. It ain't pretty, but sure is delicious....and HOT!

Pic while frozen.

Could you please vacuum seal all the extra tamales and ship them to me to properly dispose of for you. I don't mind... really. grin

Looks damn good. I give you an "A" for effort.... I started to attempt making Tamales a few years back, but decided that there were plenty of Mexican women who can make damn good/great Tamales and are willing to sell them at a reasonable price(I know a woman). I can`t imagine taking the time to making them and all the clean up in the kitchen it would require............ and then they suck. Nope...I`ll buy them.

LOL. It has been a tradition for many years that some of my family get together once a year and make tamales. We normally make anywhere between 50 to 100 dozen depending, and gets split up between all of the folks helping out. Typically use venison & feral pork for the meat tamales, and have to make a bunch of just plain bean tamales for some of the women. It's not bad at all/rolls pretty smooth when you have enough people to assign everyone a job, and when we're done everyone helps to clean up and it's actually a good time. In years past, I kill most of the meat/cook it/grind it/make the tamale sauce & season it ready for the party. This year is store bought pork, because it's 2020.

I wish I could get half this much help when I'm making big batches of sausage LOL.
