Got to take my grandson (along with my son) on his first goose and duck hunt last weekend with Muddy Waters Outfitters- a big shout out to Mike and his crew! They did a great job and put us on the birds. Grandson has hunted deer with me for the past 5 years and after seeing his first flight of about 500 geese, landing in the decoys and circling over head , is fully hooked . When asked which he liked, deer or goose hunting, he said "Goose hunting is way cooler!" . He got to shoot at a few with his Red Ryder BB gun. I think I have a waterfowling buddy. BTW, that's my Dad's hunting cap on his head - his great grandad's cap !

Excellent! There are three sounds in the wild that hit me all the way to the bone. An unexpected gobble from right behind you, an elk bugle on a cold foggy morning, and the sound of hundreds of geese circling overhead. I've had all three and those memories will live with me the rest of my life.

My son had a buff just like that when he was a kid, wore it every duck hunt all through his youth.
