A family member and I are searching for a place to bowhunt hogs primarily, though a hog and deer lease would also be of interest. Looking for something within 100 miles or so of either Lake Fork or Granbury. Thanks in advance!

Good luck, I live 12 miles east of Fork and have been trying to find a deer/hog lease for five years and nothing. I have found that these people here had rather bitch about the hogs tearing up their hay fields, gardens, yards, and on and on, rather than lease there land to a respectful mature law respecting hunter. I.ve heard every excuse not to lease there is. Again hope you find something.

I have heard that, but figure I'll give it a shot anyway. Ranch hunts are always an option and I've done it before but I much prefer hunting year round over going in and shooting something in 2-3 days and that being the season. I'm from the Panhandle originally so public land is very limited up there but I'll be looking to hunt public land down here next year if I don't find a lease by the time season rolls around. Good luck to you on eventually finding something as well!
