Hi. I'm looking for anyone in the DFW area that might let me tag along on a duck hunt and teach me the ropes. I've been on a guided hunt, but I didn't really learn what I need to be comfortable finding a location, setting up a spread, identifying birds, calling, etc. Unfortunately, I just don't know anyone else that duck hunts.

I have a pretty flexible schedule and can hunt during the week. I have some of my own equipment and a trained hunting dog (who doesn't have to come along). I'm excited to learn, and hopefully find a group of new hunting buddies.

I can’t help you this year but you should apply for this next year. The waterfowl workshops consist of a one day class/field day and a guided, informational hunt.
