Last tuesday pulled camera cards on my lunch break and had a Big 6 on camera that I had never seen before. Hunted Wednesday afternoon and saw a doe getting chased by a spike. Went out again Thanksgiving morning to a nearby feeder and had a doe coming through the pasture around 7:03 sure enough about a minute later the Big 6 popped out of the trees to give her a look. Didn't have a chance to look him over to well but I pulled up the .270 and made a rushed shot, thankfully I clipped the heart and he didn't make it far dying in the creek nearby (was a chore to haul him out). Bucks like this won't score much but they are cool to me and for sure on the kill list anytime they show up. I was happy to use my 1 buck tag in Wichita County on him.

After the buck was down I turned my attention to ducks and it was a week of firsts! My fiancé went on her first duck hunts and killed her first ducks, I put my brother on his first redheads, and then took my sister in law out to experience her first duck hunt. I have been blessed with more than I deserve and definitely had a lot to be thankful for over the holiday break!

That's a healthy, solid buck. Looks like y'all had some great hunts. up

Dropped him off last night at the taxidermist for a euro mount, he scored him at 115 gross, definitely glad I used my buck tag on him
