I know this is the same question that was asked in the "Supid Question" post, but did we ever determine for sure when the 2009 - 2010 Whitetail season starts in Texas?
I would think it is Saturday Nov 7, but I haven't really been able to confirm it. Already, know of two people that thought it started Sunday, Nov 1st.

Archery Season is always the Saturday closest to September 30 each year.

If I am not mistaking a few years ago they actually did start gun season on Sat Oct 31...I might be mistaking but I am pretty sure they did....
And last year bow season started Sept 27th...

What does it say about the limits in Motley County? My buddy and I have conflicting info, and I don't fell like going to Walmart to get one right now.

TPWD does not send them out to the license vendors, they are ordered from the distributor at a designated amount by each vendor. With them being out now, when the license sales begin, those vendors will eventually run out of their stock. You only can advise, can't make anyone do it.

MOTLEY (Matador)
WT DEER—Archery Season: Oct. 3-Nov. 6; General Season:
Nov. 7-Jan. 3; Special Late General Season: Jan. 4-17
(antlerless and spike buck only). Bag limit: 5 (no more than
1 buck, all seasons combined).
MULE DEER—Archery Season: Oct. 3-Nov. 6 (buck only);
General Season: Nov. 21-Dec. 6 (antlerless by permit only).
Bag limit: 2 (no more than 1 buck, all seasons combined).
SQUIRREL—No closed season. No bag limit.

Season: Nov. 7-Jan. 3 (either sex);

Motley went from 3 deer to 5 deer 1 buck limit and added spike / anterless late season.
