Going to go with 4 and 142".

Most I see is 140, and that’s with some big mass which I don’t think he has. I am guessing mid-high 30’s, with 18 inch spread.

The last pic on the ground I think is very good, it shows a spread that isn’t there on the face forward pics.

I had age a little younger than everyone too, but not significantly. I could be persuaded at 5-6 but was thinking more along the lines of 4-5. Splitting hairs there.

This is good, maybe only 5.5. I’ve got him around 148.

5.5 and low 140's. Not very much width there.

4yr old and 140 give or take an inch.

I’ve practiced field scoring bucks a long time and don’t claim to be good. It’s just real hard to do(aging is harder.) Some of y’all did good on this one but several were too high. Maybe the antlers against the sky kind of set them off more. Anyway he scored right at 140. Thanks for playing along.

Sorry Tlew, I meant to comment on age. I’m a big believer that you never know for sure how old a deer is unless you have total history on them which is rarely possible in a wild herd. We always send our teeth in to a lab to be aged but that’s after the season. For now we aged by tooth wear and just our groups opinion after seeing him dead and think he was 5. Most of y’all said 5 with some 4s and few 6s.
