Just finished the book, Descent Into Darkness: Pearl Harbor, 1941, A Navy Diver Memoir, and I have to say it's one of the best books about WW2 that I've ever read. It's the story of a Navy hardhat diver that worked the salvage operations in Pearl Harbor after it was bombed by the Japanese on December 7, 1941. It's one of those books that you can't seem to put down once you start reading.

Speaking of Pearl Harbor, the oldest living diver to have worked on that immense project, 103-year-old Ken Hartle, died on Jan. 24, 2019. https://www.wearethemighty.com/mighty-trending/oldest-navy-pearl-harbor-salvage-diver-dies/

I’m rereading ‘Fidelity’ by Thomas Perry. Next I might reread ‘The Old Man’, by Perry. I remember that it was outstanding.

Made a stop at HP BOOKS today to reload. I sure hope none are duplicates. If so no problem, I read most books 2-3 times. I have an EXTENSIVE library.

Jack Reacher and the Gray Man. Truly good stuff. You need a little John Sandford.

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ve lost some favorite authors. I will check out some Sanford novels next reload.

If you like the Gray Man novels, you will really like the Orphan X novels. And then there are Tom Woods novels about Victor (an assassin you will actually like).

I thought Lee Child was a famous cook before I started my first Jack Reacher book.
