I don’t think so either, but at profile he looks almost identical to a buck that’s probably 18 wide.

Debating letting kid hunt that stand this weekend. Both bucks coming in daily but an excited kid at 110 yards might make a mistake.

Won’t be any year if it’s not this year. I think he’s post mature.

Most of my bucks have less horn this year than last.

Yes sir
I believe you are dead on

Damn shame as this is one that the spread restriction rule doesn't help anything on.

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

He makes me hate AR’s. Most consistent buck I have right now and sure would like him gone. Perfect for a kid.

He was taller and heavier last year, but not any wider. He’s older than dirt.

I have some mature tall racked bucks, but not 13" and unfortunately, they may never be. Doesn't matter, they aren't legal so we don't shoot em. This is one of the negatives of AR, but I think in total it has improved the herd in our area. My buck last year was an old, heavy deer with heavy tall antlers. Through the scope I thought there was no chance he would fall below 13", and I was right, but too close for comfort. EXACTLY 13 with not a 16th to spare. Good lesson.

It hasn’t helped at all in my area. In fact, I’d argue it’s hurt. We have a relatively small property (450 acres) surrounded by lots of tiny properties (many 1-10 acres) with most of them lining our fence lines with feeders. The result has been that they pop every legal buck resulting in most of the mature bucks having inferior genetics. We end up with several narrow 125 inch deer where as we used to have a decent number of 130-145 inch bucks. Those are much less in number today than they were a decade ago.

First world problems I know. Once I get some estate things handled I plan to just high-fence. Not something I ever wanted to do but as neighbors sub-divide I have no choice if I want better deer.

Burden of hunting where the city seems to be headed.
