I going to use my Ruger Hawkeye 6.8 SPC suppressed this year for deer/hogs. I have 110 Accubonds loaded to 2690 fps from a 16" barrel. I have an oryx hunt booked with Muley Mike in December. I think I'm going to use my 308 CTR suppressed with 150 Nosler Partitions.

Gonna mainly use my Mathews Halon 32. When I go down south I’ll use a Weatherby Accumark in .257 wby mag
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Probably this little 223ai running a 80gr bullet at 2950 or the other rig in either 6.5x47 or 7mm-08ai.

Overkill is better than underkill. It will probably destroy less meat than other "deer" set ups. I think you'll get an exit.

There are places for folks like you too, since you brought that up.
It's apparent you've never been a bow hunter Buzz.
You are truly missing out. Bowhunting requires different skill sets than the average rifle hunter from the city will ever understand.
Seen it plenty.

Bow hunting is also mask friendly, Infact even encouraged

it is a special run from the 80's Winchester feather weight / long action / 257 Roberts / shooting 95 grain game kings @ 2950 There once were 3 Amigos & we have consecutive SN# 257 Roberts from that run of Long Action Bobs.

Staying with the Marlins this year. 45 Colt or 35 Remington, whichever I grab walking out the back door. She’s finally accepted the hutch by the back door is actually a gun cabinet.
If I do any hunting out west this year i will take something else.
