Not a lot of deer sightings, nothing like last weekend.
Did get some piggie work done tho, so that made me happy.
Will be back next weekend. Hopefully the deer are moving better with some Cooler weather
Anybody have any luck this weekend ?

I tagged out with my only tag in AR county on Thursday afternoon and it was hot and muggy. Deer moved well that evening and moved early...more deer where on the way in when I killed a buck. I sat yesterday morning looking for hogs and saw 4 bucks with 2 being mature and then 5 does. Sat yesterday evening looking for hogs and saw one doe right at dark...but it was 99 degrees. Did not sit this morning but all the corn was gone from 4 or the 5 corn feeders...it fed a second time at 8 so that is all that was on the ground there. It was foggy and 68 here this morning so they like the damp cooler weather more than the intense evening heat it seems. One more evening of high temps then it drops 5-8 degrees for evening highs this next week. It is really dry here so the deer are active at the corn and protein feeders in low light or after dark. Some nights it is non stop inside the pens.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

Sat was our firearms opener, so went out in the desert to look for whitetails. Hunting them in 5 foot tall sagebrush is a challenge. Plenty of mule deer, but no shots on WT. At least being 19 degrees, I didn't have to look for snakes!!!
Beer and whiskey, 'cause you can't drink bacon!!

'Be back out this coming weekend and will probably cull some more does. Gotta get some protein back out there, it's dry again. Sat through 2 soccer games yesterday afternoon in the big city, huddled with the granddaughter under my umbrella; brutal hot, no breeze.

Gonna be sitting again this eve. Had deer at this stand this am but only a doe and dawn at the one I sat at...go figure.
I got a new stand put up. More for when my food plots are active, but I haven’t even seeded them yet. Way too dry.
Hoping to see some action tonight. Shot hogs on this stand last night so I doubt any hogs will be in tonight. Maybe some deer will show like they did this am.

It was just plain hot in Childress. We saw 101 today. We didn't have much moving.

Had a mama doe and twin fawns. That’s it, aside from armadillos.
Get a cool down next week, should be better

Saw a few deer Saturday morning and 6 does this morning. Gonna try again tomorrow and will probably make the evening sit.
We are surprisingly not too dry and our buck activity had been almost nill, which is odd because we normally see more bucks than does.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.
