Did you call your parents mommy and daddy, mother and father, or by their first names? When. You were growing up? How about papa and momma?

Pretty boring for me ...Mom and Dad Same here. I grew up around a kid that called his parents by their first names. I never could get used to that.

Now it’s either Momma or Maw.

Mom and Dad until I was 14. My parents divorced and then I was able to express my true feelings. If I'm being kind, I call him by his full first name (which he hates (almost as much as I despise him)), or by his nickname of *******...think donkey and a void. However, I haven't had the misfortune of speaking to him since September 1998... Mom is still Mom....except for a time when we were both managers at a retail company. I called her by her first name during a manager's meeting. I thought she was gonna come across that table and rip the hair right out of my head. Then you could see her realize the setting we were in and that calling her 'Mom' would have probably not been a wise choice.
