95% of the time I say puh-conn but about 5% of the time I cant resist saying pee-can. I brought this serious matter up about 3 months ago on here.

I used to go to Pecan Growers Assoc. get togethers with my folks when they grew pecans commercially. The pronounciation is correct either way, it's a regional difference. It's pee can in the deep South, peh cahn everywhere else.
